What is Invisalign?
Have you been living with crooked teeth and looking for a solution that doesn’t involve wearing metal braces for two years? Invisalign® clear aligners might be the answer to straightening your teeth so that you have a smile you are proud of.
Goodbye to wires and braces!
Invisalign’s clear aligners are transparent so are virtually unnoticeable to others. You will be provided a series of aligners that are replaced approximately every two weeks to slowly reposition your teeth.
Invisalign uses a system of clear aligners designed by scanning the teeth with the most highly advanced machine, “ITero,” constructed from comfortable BPA-free plastics. These aligners gradually move your teeth into position by exerting gentle pressure. Patients are given new aligners every few weeks.
Invisalign results can be seen from as early as four months into treatment, but most people’s treatment lasts around 6-12 months depending on their needs. Invisalign can help improve the following issues:
- overbite / underbite
- crossbite
- gap teeth
- open bite
- crowded teeth
What to Expect From Invisalign Treatment
Once you book your Invisalign consultation with one of our Herndon dentists, we will review your teeth and decide if you would be a good candidate for Invisalign treatment. We will take digital photographs and impressions of your teeth to develop the treatment plan to show you a virtual representation of what your final smile can look like.
If you decide to move forward, our doctors will send you custom-made aligners that you will wear 20-22 hours per day (remove only to eat/drink and brush/floss). You will visit our dental practice in Herndon every 4-6 weeks for a quick check-up to ensure your teeth are moving in line with the treatment plan.
Our doctors have to complete special Invisalign training to become Invisalign providers, so you can rest assured we are experts in straightening your teeth.
